Privacy Policy

In short: Feel the Yakshagaana has no accounts, no ads and no analytics. Your favorites, playlists and settings are stored only on your phone. We do not collect, sell or share your personal information.

Who we are

Feel the Yakshagaana ("the app", "we") is an app for finding and listening to Yakshagaana performances that are publicly available online. Contact: contact@feeltheyakshagaana.com.

Information stored on your device

• Your library — favorites, playlists, recently played items, podcast subscriptions and theme settings are saved locally on your device. They are never sent to us.
• Playlist artwork — if you choose a photo for a playlist, the app asks for access to your photo library and keeps a reference to that image on your device only. Photos are never uploaded.

Deleting the app removes all of this data.

Information we collect

We do not operate servers that receive your data. We do not collect your name, email, location, contacts, device identifiers or usage analytics, and we do not use advertising.

Third-party services

To search and play content, the app connects directly from your device to the services below. When it does, those services receive the search terms you type and standard technical information (such as your IP address and device type), and handle it under their own privacy policies:

• YouTube — the app uses YouTube API Services to search for videos and plays them in YouTube's official embedded player. By using these features you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service. See the Google Privacy Policy. You can revoke access through Google's security settings, although the app does not sign in to your Google account.
• Internet Archive (archive.org) — search and audio streaming. Terms and privacy.
• Apple iTunes Search — to find Yakshagaana podcasts; episodes stream from each podcast's own host. Apple Privacy Policy.
• Dailymotion and Vimeo — video search and official embedded players. Dailymotion · Vimeo.
• Facebook and Instagram — when you paste a link, the video plays in Meta's official embedded player. Meta Privacy Policy.

Embedded players may use cookies or similar technologies set by those platforms.

Children

The app is a general-audience app and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your choices

You can clear your library by deleting the app, and you can deny photo-library access at any time in your phone's settings.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and its effective date.
